  • Author: Candice
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1/2 Cup 1x

Description

Mexican spice blend is easy to put together and so much better for you than the packaged blend.   Perfect to add a little spice to your next recipe.

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 TBSP ground cumin
  • 1 TBSP smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions

Now the fun part, mix all spices together!  You can put this in a mason jar and shake it like you mean it!  Just make sure to get all the spices at the bottom mixed up good.

Notes

This Mexican spice blend can be stored in an airtight container for 6 months in the pantry.

Please adjust the heat accordingly!  I love heat, personally, I add a little more cayenne than called for.  You can absolutely omit this if you prefer.

Make sure you Pin this recipe so you can easily find it!
